I had a request for an update…so here goes.
Since my last post, my spirits have been down a little. I seem to be having troubles getting motivated to run again. I have been running, but not very well. After the decision to run/walk the full marathon I felt a little better but it still seems I can not get myself going again. It is really hard; especially since it is getting cold now and the holidays are coming up…it is hard to devote so much time to this.
I thought of a new technique though. I am attempting something fresh! I am going to try to get my short runs in when I wake up…first thing. Get ‘em done! I will only do this twice a week and then a long run with Jason once a week. Jason still plans on running at night, but he is happy because he would run at midnight if he could. I did it this morning, but only ran one mile. (Hey, I like to sleep…and I had a “tummy ache”….)
It felt good though. Running by self was a little lonely but getting up and doing something felt nice. I will work back up to 10 miles, quickly I hope and my next short morning run will be 3 or 4 miles. (meaning I will wake up about 5:30…AM ahhhhhh!)
So that is the update for now, if you are not already…please pray for God to give me strength, motivation, encouragement, enthusiasm, and endurance. I need it!
